Abigail Evangeline turns 14

I remember 14 years ago waking up at 4:00 in the morning and knowing that soon our 3rd daughter would be born. Sure enough, 2 and a half hours later our sweet Abigail Evangeline came into the world. She was so perfect! Absolutely beautiful to her family. What a gift she is from God. I praise the Lord for her every day. She is growing into such a mature and godly young lady. She is blessing to her family and I trust to all that know her. My prayer for her is that she brings honor and glory to her Lord all the days of her life.

Take time to......

Smell the onions....."

Wait, I don't think that's how it goes.

Let me try again....

"Take time to pick the peaches."

Better, but I still don't think that's how it goes.

"Take time to get a drink of cool, clear water."

Well, that's a good idea, but still not right.

"Take time to pick the cucumbers..."

....Banana peppers??

.....Green beans??

Ho-hum. I'm not having much success.

"Take time to check on your Lima bean seedlings."

Okay, that sounds retarded. I mean who would make up make a saying like that?

Certainly not me.

"Take time to take pictures."

Hmmm....."Take time to take pictures."

Now I like that one! Surely someone said that......well, they should have.

Okay, I'm gonna give it a few more tries, then I give up......

"Take time to look at the butterflies."

"Take time to be with some of your favorite people."

"Take time to lay on the floor with your favorite dog."

"Take time to be CUTE!"

Some people don't seem have much trouble with this.

Okay, y'all. ONE last try, then I'll have to Google it.

I should write a book, "Sayings for every occasion."

Here Is Home

Here is home, my blessed home.
Florida is her name.
God’s Providence has brought me here,

My numb and barefoot toes!

In wintertime I love to eat
An orange from the tree.
Such a sweet and sticky treat.
Quite a delicacy!

To be a humble part
Of Florida's great, rich history,
And hold it near my heart.

The land on which I've tromped and played,
The Spanish settlers roam'd.
They called this place the “Land of Flowers,”
And here they made their home.

When war broke out between the States,
We proved our loyalty
To the precious Southern cause,
For God and Liberty!

Some folks call us “Florida Crackers.”
I'm proud to hold that name.
My ancestors were proud as well,
To call themselves the same.

Where life is at it's best.
Every day I thank the Lord,
For I am truly blessed!
