Finally!

Here {finally} :o/ are the rest of the pictures from our trip to NC. :oD
Sunday after the conference, the Charleston Tea Plantation, and a few stops in between. :)

People dispersing after the Church service
(which was wonderful by the way--especially the singing--just beautiful with all those voices!)
Mrs. Hope engaged in lively conversation... {I love your hat!}
The beautiful church...

Lunch and sweet fellowship after Church. :)

I love the pink flowers against the bright blue sky. :)

The little stinker. :oP
Mr. and Mrs. Higgenbotham :o)
 Daffodils...something we don't see in FL very often!
 Well, we're on the road again, y'all! Headed back South!
CJ and Will entertain themselves by making paper airplanes...:oP
 Ummm....This picture I have no explanation for...
CJ, having lost his shirt in some unknown phenomenon, is reading a book while sucking on a peppermint stick with all his might, and William is...looking perplexed?? Perturbed?? Astonished?? No, wait. I think he's choking on his peppermint stick.
Or maybe not. Maybe he's just dying of a heat stroke...or something... {?}
(Obviously, I'm totally joking...) :oP
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 On our way home, we stopped at a wonderful, Southern, family-owned restaurant called Clark's. We had stopped there once before, about 4 or 5 yrs ago and remembered how wonderful it was...and we weren't disappointed! MmmMmm! You just can't beat that good ol' Southern cookin!
 The restaurant has a really neat history!
 A little Southern lady. :o)
 ...and here we have William, a true Southern gentleman. :)
 That night, we stayed in a hotel owned by the same family, and had breakfast in the morning at Clark's!
It was wonderful! (and very inexpensive!!)
 Time to head out!
 Next stop--The Charleston Tea Plantation, Wadmalaw Island, SC.
"America's Only Tea Garden"
Mama has wanted to go here forever, and finally we made it! :o)
 My lovely Grandmother, a picture of Southern gentility...
 Wave, y'all!!!
 The big green tractor...thingy. Specially made for harvesting tea!
 Sweeeet Tea! :):)
 Unsweeeet Tea! :oP
 Well, we were planning on stopping by another tea plantation, if there was one on the way, but we figured 8 or 10 thousand miles was a little bit out of the way...
 Oh well. Maybe on one of your world-travels, Abby???
 Well, thank y'all for stopping by!
Aww! Is it over...already?? :o(
Yep! But we we'll be back--Have no fear! :oP
  4. Mary, what a wonderful remembrance of a special time! I loved that trip! I think, however, your "lovely, genteel" southern grandmother was probably putting on a good face for your camera, as, if I remember correctly, I was getting impatient with the trolley for not being there -- THIS VERY INSTANT!!
    Loved this post, Sweetie! I think my favorite picture was Abby and the sign posts!
    Love,
    Grandmother, who is just
    about out of the wonderful,
    American-grown loose leaf tea
    she brought back!
    **Ahem**....were you being sarcastic about my world travels, darling sister?? Just you wait...;)
    Love,
    Abby, who IS going to travel the world....someday. :P
  6. I want to visit that tea plantation sometime. We went to Charleston last year but were so busy touring historic sights that we never made it out to the tea plantation. Sigh.
    That was a wonderful conference. I hear next year it's all the way up in the windy (and cold)city of Chicago.
    Thanks for sharing all the great photos.
  8. SUCH a nice post! What a precious time you all must have had with the saints of God!
    Maybe we'll strike it rich and be able to join you someday. It would have been so fun - especially the tea plantation. I have also wanted to see that plantation ever since purchasing the "American Grown" tea. Those pics of Abby were so adorable! So was that pic of Wills and CJ.
    Love you all much!
